Wheaton, IL; NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) DuPage held its inaugural “Uncorked and Uncapped” Wine and Craft Beer Tasting fundraising event on Friday, October 12th at Noah’s Event Venue in Naperville, IL. Approximately 175 people attended the three hour event which featured a variety of wines and craft beers to taste, hot and cold hors d’oeuvres, entertainment, a raffle and other activities. The wines and beers for the tasting were provided by Prestige Liquors in Westmont. The event was co-sponsored by the Law Office of Suzanne M. Cahalan, Wintrust Wealth Mangement, Chicago Oakbrook Financial Group, River City Roasters and Lynn Johnson.
“We were delighted to see such interest in this new event from our supporters”, said Angela Adkins, Executive Director. “Since NAMI DuPage relies entirely on the generosity of our supporters to fund our programs, the proceeds from the event will with help fund our new programs that will focus on employment, social/recreational activities and affordable housing resource support. In addition, NAMI DuPage is launching a flagship program, known as the Living Room, which will serve as a safe, stabilizing and calming alternative to hospital emergency room treatment.”
