Wheaton, IL: NAMI (National Alliance on Mental Illness) DuPage announced that it has re-opened the Buy-A-Brick campaign in response to popular demand. The Buy-A-Brick campaign, aptly named “Paving the Path to Recovery”, will help cover a portion of the costs associated with operating existing support and educational programs as well as new programs focusing on employment, social/recreational activities and affordable housing resource support, at the Community Center. In addition, NAMI DuPage is offering a flagship program known as the Living Room, that will serve as a non-clinical, peer led crisis stabilization program as an alternative to hospital emergency room treatment. A limited number of inscribed bricks, of various sizes, can be placed in the outdoor courtyard of the new facility. Individuals, Families, Businesses, Associations, Public and Private Foundations and Community Support Groups are welcome to participate. The campaign will conclude on June 30, 2016.
“The Buy a Brick campaign is a unique opportunity to show your support of our new Mental Health Community Center by purchasing a personalized, engraved brick that can honor your family, friends, business, or the memory of a loved one” said Angela Adkins, Executive Director. “Not only will you be able to help us “Pave the Way to Recovery” for individuals and families afflicted with mental illness but you can also leave a lasting legacy in the DuPage community”
