Testimonial from a WRAP participant:
“You should know that I benefited greatly from NAMI DuPage’s new WRAP program—even more than I expected to.  Having lived with bipolar disorder for many years, I didn’t think there was much more I could do differently to improve the quality of my recovery.  However, WRAP gave me additional tools and the means to organize them into an effective plan to help me stay well, and contingencies to manage symptoms when they appear and things go wrong.  WRAP helped me realize how focusing more closely on specific healthy behavioral goals on a daily basis can really help me in the long run.
I would recommend WRAP to anyone who wants to develop a clear, practical plan to stay well for longer periods of time and the specific actions to take when relapse symptoms appear.  I am proof that this program has much to offer individuals with a mental illness—even someone who thinks he/she is already doing all they can do to stay well.” — Tom
