HB House Bill
HR House Resolution: Sometimes used by the House of Representatives to congratulate or recognize individuals or groups for their achievements. Also used by the House to provide their opinions to other lawmakers, such as other state Legislatures and federal lawmakers.
SR Senate Resolution: The Senate version of a House Resolution.
HJR House Joint Resolution: A resolution initiated in the House with which the Senate concurs.
SJR Senate Joint Resolution: A resolution initiated in the Senate with which the House concurs.
HJR-CA House Joint Resolution – Constitutional Amendment: A proposal to amend the Illinois Constitution with which the Senate concurs.
SJR-CA Senate Joint Resolution – Constitutional Amendment: A proposal to amend the Illinois Constitution with which the House concurs.
JSR Joint Session Resolution: A resolution that the House and Senate adopts while in Joint Session.
SS Special Session: Indicates legislation introduced during a Special Session of the General Assembly
