Wheaton, IL: Kathy Rezny, Co-Owner of York Furrier in Elmhurst, selected NAMI DuPage as the beneficiary of the store’s 86th Anniversary Fashionable FUNdraiser to ensure that people with mental illness and their loved ones are treated with respect, feel supported and have an advocate to help navigate through the health care system. Guests sipped champagne and wine, nibbled on hors d’oeuvres and a dessert buffet created by Chef Marco Conte, enjoyed informal modeling and trying-on York’s gorgeous furs, fine outerwear and accessories, and purchased Grand and Regular Raffle tickets for an array of packages.

“The Fashionable Fundraiser was a unique and elegant way of bringing attention to the prevalence of mental illness in our communities and the resources available through NAMI DuPage”, said Angela Adkins, Executive Director. “We are deeply appreciative to Kathy and staff for hosting such a wonderful event and to all of the invited guests for supporting our mission.”

York Furrier has graciously extended its support for NAMI DuPage.  For any fur or fine outerwear purchase made at York Furrier between October 25th and November, 22nd 2017, mention “NAMI DuPage” and York Furrier will make a significant donation in support of the NAMI DuPage.
